Mahsa Amini deserved better

A lot of things have been on my mind lately in reference to women’s rights in America because that is the country I currently reside in. Then a few days ago, my mutuals started posting about the horrors that have taken place in Iran.

Hearing details about the death of Mahsa Amini was harrowing. I’m saddened that yet another woman, has lost her life due to the evils of a patriarchal society.

The powers in charge are going to make sure they keep women scared and unprotected.

Here in America, we as women have the opportunity to have the fates of our lives changed. That is not currently possible in Iran. Please do not take your privilege as an American woman for granted; use your voice to stand with those who are being silenced.

All women deserve to live a life free of fear. All women deserve freedom.
