5G Wireless technology in the future

5G is the fifth generation technology of cellular communication technology . promises not just faster download speeds but also other enhancement -such as lower latency. 5G refers to the RF wireless Radio Access Network (RAN ), but also the core network architecture, which has many aspects not specific to radio or wireless at all. 5G architecture is built on a much higher next -generation technology plane with the premise to connect everything and everyone -people, buildings, cities, sensors, smartphones, robots , drones, security cameras, cars capable of sharing traffic data, and more.

1G or the first generation of mobile networks was built in 1980, they were voice only. They have carried over radio waves and were unencrypted.

2G came in the early 1990s introduced SMS and MMS capabilities to cellular users, followed by GPRS (2.5G) and EDGE (2.75G) in the mid ’90s with limited data and call /text encryption .

3G arrived at the beginning of the 2000s and allowed for faster data transmission, making video calling and mobile internet a reality. This was 4 times faster than 2G.

Then 4G significantly upped , made high quality video streaming a reality for consumers. 4G technology enables high definition videos , conferencing , online gaming services.

With each new generation, networks and mobile technologies made a leap forward. Today, 4G technology is the standard, with most cell phone models supporting both 4G and 3G technologies. Of course, that forward can we expect as 5G becomes the new standard?

Following nations are the world in 5G deployment :United States of America, United Kingdom , south Korea, China and Germany .

As for what will be available, the following 5G optimized devices have been announced : Huawei mate x, LGV50ThinQ, one plus 5G phones , Samsung Galaxy fold, Samsung Galaxy 510 5G, Xiaomi Mi Miz35G, ZTE Axon 10 pro5G.

Additionally , vendors that are involved in building 5GCore elements include : Affirmed Networks, Ericson’s, Huawei , Nokia , Samsung, ZTE.

Though, 5G technology is researched and conceptualized to solve all radio signal problems and hardship of mobile world, but because of some security reason and lack of technological advancement in most of the geographic regions, it has following shortcomings −

The arrival of 5G -enabling smart devices will change the way we will live &think and can be a game changer for better service delivery ,faster access to services and deeper penetration of digital services.
