Another Medium Update

Financially, I’ve broken into three digits

Every few weeks I like to share updates on my Medium journey.

Since starting on January 4th, I’ve published 98 articles (this will be my 99th.) This makes 99 articles in 102 days.

In the past 30 days, I’ve accumulated 1,867 views with 1,205 people dropping in long enough to read. That’s a 64.5 percent read through rate. That’s down a tad from the last update, but I explained the reason for the drop in my last article. You can read that here.

Followers have continued to increase; this month I’m averaging 6.5 new followers a day. I hope to break the 500 total mark by the end of this month. I currently sit at 457.

So, what kind of money am I making on Medium?

Well, I’ve broken the three figure mark..one number to the left of the decimal point and two on the right. My current Medium earnings for the month of April is $4.50. I’m on track to make less than I did in March. March earnings topped out at $7.73.

I don’t want anyone to think I’m getting the big head. I know it seems pretty incredible that I was able to buy two whole gallons of gas off of Medium’s deposit to my checking account. I won’t forget those who helped make this possible…Judy Derby, David Perlmutter, and Judey Kalchik at Mercury Press.

I’m not belittling the pittance made thus far…well, not too much. I know several make over a hundred dollars a month on this platform; it just takes finding a niche and a faithful audience.

I will keep plugging along.

And, I hope to buy another couple of gallons of gas at the next payout.
