The Past Does Not Rule The Future

There will be times when “your past or the past” will sneak up on you to try & rule the day but always remember that it can’t. It’s done, gone and if ask for or necessary even forgiven.

Done and a lesson learned. If not then perhaps that’s what your mind needs to settle on. The positive in learning how it happened so as to not make that same mistake again & again. If it was something done to you perhaps there is a positive action you can take to give those vulnerable people weapons against such happenings. Think on how it either could be prevented or how a person can cope by being sure they get the proper solutions for actions taken against them. Never sweep it under the mat. All things need to be dealt with.

Gone but not forgotten apparently. “Forget it” is impossible. What needs to happen with the unforgettable past is forgive for yourself. It’s your only option. Making what they did to you bigger than it already is by carrying it around with you like baggage and every day you carry it you add to it and the heavier it gets. Set it aside with forgiveness only for yourself if they haven’t asked for it or you haven’t been able to give it to them. Think of it as a packed bag put away in a closet not forgotten but unloaded so you don’t have to carry it everyday. You’ll be much lighter in spirit if you’re able to do this and always remember it is all for you.

Find a place, physically and/or mentally, that’s safe & peaceful!! Make it your go to place for times when you’re overwhelmed with life, past, present and future!! Not everyone needs this space but if you find life a whole lot to handle at times you do. And do yourself a favour by being just a bit selfish to make this place a reality and easy to get to for your needs.
